8-day Nepal & Bhutan

 Itinerary:

 DAY 1 Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.

 DAY 2  Full day tour includes Kathmandu city, Swayambhunath temple, Bhadgaon city, Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath.  Overnight at hotel.

 DAY 3  Flight from Kathmandu to Paro.  Transfer to hotel.  Welcome dinner and briefing.  Overnight at Paro.

 DAY 4  Morning sightseeing in Paro, scenic drive to ruins of Drukgyal Dzong. Visit the National Museum and Rinpung Dzong.  After lunch drive to Thimphu, enroute visit the Simtokha Dzong and check into hotel & overnight at Thimphu.

DAY 5  Morning sightseeing in Thimphu, visit the National Library, painting school, Memorial Chorten and Tashicho Dzong.  After lunch drive to Punakha Valley via Dochula pass (3050 mts).  Check-in hotel.  If time permits visit Punakha town.  Overnight at Puwakha.

 DAY 6   Sightseeing of Punakha Dzong, drive to Wangdi Phodrang.  After sightseeing and lunch return to Paro.  Overnight at Paro.

 DAY 7   Transfer to airport for the flight from Paro to Kathmandu.  Transfer to your hotel and at leisure.

 DAY 8   Breakfast, then transfer to the airport for flight home

13-day Nepal & Tibet

Itinerary:

 Day 1    Arrive Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Hotel.

 Day 2     Morning tour of Kathmandu City and Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple).  Afternoon, a 14km drive out of Kathmandu to visit Bhadgadn City – home of medieval art and architecture. Overnight at Kathmandu.

 Day 3     Fly Kathmandu / Lhasa.  Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa  City  by our Chinese representative.  Overnight at Lhasa.

 Day 4     Guided tour of Jokhang the Central Cathedral and the holiest temple in Tibet and Barkhor, the bustling market place of Lhasa and the Tibetan Medical Center. Overnight at Lhasa.

 Day 5     Guided tour of Potala, the winter palace of Dalai Lama and Drepung the biggest Monastic University of Tibet.  Overnight at Lhasa.

 Day 6      Drive from Lhasa to Gyangtse via Yamdrok Tso (the Turquoise lake) crossing over two passes Kampala and Korala.  Overnight at Gyantse.

 Day 7      Drive to Shigatse, enroute to visit Shalu Monastery  and guided tour of Tashilunpo Monastery, the seat of the Sakyapa School of Tibetan Buddhism.  Overnight at Shigatse.

 Day 8      Drive from Shigatse to Shegar, enroute to visit Sakya Monastery the seat of the Sakyapa School of Tibetan Buddhism.  Overnight at Shegar.

 Day 9       Drive from Shegar to Zhangmu via Thongla Pass, enroute to visit Milerapa cave in Naylam - a busy trade post of the bygone era.  Overnight at Zhangmu.

 Day 10     After going through Chinese customs and immigration formalities, arrive at the friendship bridge where you will be met and transferred to Kathmandu by our representative in minibus or landrover.  Overnight at Kathmandu.

 Day 11      Morning tour to Pashupatinath, one of the most holy temples for Hindu Devotees.  Later, visit Boudhnath Stupa, where mainly Tibetan Buddhist comes for worship.  Overnight at Kathmandu.

 Day 12       Free at leisure in Kathmandu.  Overnight at Kathmandu.

 Day 13       Depart for home.
